The Harbury Choir School was set up in 2008 as a new community activity for children of Harbury and the surrounding areas. It has gone from strength to strength during its first year with several very successful performances in our local area, as well as further afield.
The Choir School is a fun and friendly community based choir; open to all childen aged between 7 and 16. It is run by young leaders who are experienced and qualified musicians and singers.
Due to it’s popularity, we now run the Choir School as a group of community based music projects to appeal to the widest range of local children.
There are three sections to The Harbury Choir School; Harbury Young Voices, Make A Noise Workshops and The Chamber Choir. This gives varied opportunities for youngsters to pick the section of the choir they would like to be involved in. Please see the individual sections in the menu bar for more details on each.
All sections of the choir aim to develop each young person’s voice and teaching works towards concert type performances. We have a good network of local musical contacts, allowing us to give the young singers the chance of working with live bands and large choirs throughout the year.
The Harbury Choir School provides a safe and enjoyable experience for young people aged 7-16; allowing for individual personal and musical development.
