This is the main section of the choir. It is a fun, non-auditioned choir for boys and girls aged 7-16. Anyone can come and join in!
No previous experience is necessary and each term will work towards at least one public event/performance. All Harbury Yong Voices concerts will have a community focus.
This choir mainly works on fun, popular music – often of the children’s own choosing. We work on pop songs and songs from the shows and movies. The children sing from word sheets in this choir and are not expected to be able to read/follow printed music.
We use different methods of accompanying the songs – from simple piano to pop style backing tracks and other live musicians/bands. This gives the children a wider experience of singing different styles.
